Look at him shine, the former kapsalon king of the Low Countries. He organized parties where “schnitzels went around like doormats. Fortunately, he now makes other choices. With a big smile, plenty of humor and enthusiasm, he tells us who he was: a former meat eater who could never become a vegan. And who he is now; the example that everyone can change. Daisy the Sustainable Centipede
The culinary career of this sustainable centipede began when she was crowned Leftover Queen. Two leftover cookbooks later, she founded Vegan Food Tours with her partner in crime and in love. It is the perfect way for Daisy to share her contagious enthusiasm for delicious and animal-friendly food with anyone who will listen. Pippa the sustainable thinker
This sustainable thinker is passionately committed to a green future. It makes sense that she is studying Global Sustainability Science. In addition to her academic pursuits, Pippa is a frequent guest on the sports field. Soccer and spikeball are her favorites! When she is not busy with her studies or sports, you are likely to find Pippa in the kitchen. From hazelnut meringue pie to fruit roll and irresistible chocolate chip cookies – no baking is too crazy for her! Her enthusiasm for plant-based eating is contagious. With a beaming smile, she’s happy to guide you through the flavorful landscape of vegan Utrecht.
Luc is all smiles
Luc is all smiles. After a tour with this topper, you will go home with at least as big a smile. As a guide, he shares his unbridled passion for veganism and good food with anyone who will listen. All this knowledge does not come to him by chance. Luc is founder of as many as three vegan student associations. Wow! Talk about uninhibited passion. When Luc has his running shoes on, he is unstoppable. Running 50 kilometers? That’s a piece of vegan cake for this top athlete. And all on 100% plant power!
Tessa is a purebred utrechter
This purebred Utrechtian loves pies, cakes and pastries. To eat as well as to bake herself. Her vegan lemon mooncake is almost as delicious as the one from bakery Kluts. She also loves dancing, running and working out. Tessa likes to show that vegans can also lift heavy things. As a fundraiser for ProVeg, she knows better than anyone the benefits of plant-based eating. With her radiant smile, she takes you on a tour of vegan Utrecht and enjoys the mix of enthusiasm and amazement when people taste how delicious plant-based food can be.
Ellis the kitchen princess with muscle
Her passion for taste and good food didn’t just fall out of the sky: Ellis’ father is a chef. As a graduate food innovator, she is concerned with the impact of food. At home, she experiments with it. Kombucha, beer, kimchi; you’ll find it in Ellis’ kitchen. During her tours, she enjoys talking about innovative entrepreneurs who love good food as much as she does. A great combination! Don’t let her sweet smile throw you off. This lady has muscles! When she’s not hanging from a climbing wall, she’s facing a punching pad with her boxing gloves.
Jacqueline is full of passion and stories
Accompanied by sweet Lulu, Jacqueline strolls daily through the heart of Utrecht. No alley or court is unknown to her. The beautiful Dom city is not her only passion. Jacqueline gets real joy from helping people discover how fun and delicious plant-based food can be. Her enthusiasm for veganism has brought her many adventures: she was allowed to inspire cooks in training, helped farmers with the cultivation of lupins and stood at markets and events to let people taste delicious plant-based food. Now all those passions and knowledge are coming together in her role as a guide. What a treat!
